PRINCE GEORGE- The Prince George Spruce Kings are excited to announce the commitment of Cariboo
Cougars goaltender Ryder Green (’07) for the 2024/25 season.
Green, who is from Prince George, is in the midst of a stellar season with the Cougars U18 AAA team. In
17 games played, Green has a record of 13-2-2 with a 2.74 GAA.
“Ryder is an elite-level goaltender and an elite-level human. Adding in the fact that Ryder and his family
are proud northern BC residents from Prince George makes this commitment a no-brainer for us,” said
General Manager Mike Hawes. “We are thrilled to add Ryder and his family to the Spruce Kings family.”
In addition to playing with the Cariboo Cougars, Green played for Team British Columbia during the 2023
Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island. In three games, the Prince George product had a 9.15
SV%.
“I am very grateful for this opportunity,” said Green. “I remember watching Spruce Kings games growing
up with my parents, so this is very special for me and my family.”
Ryder is 5’11” and weighs 156lbs. The Cougars goaltender catches left and has been an ace for Cariboo
this season.
