PRINCE GEORGE BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired F Jimmy Doyle (’02) from the Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).
Doyle, from Plainfield, IL, finished the 2020-21 season with eight points in 36 games played with the Bobcats.
“Jimmy is a great addition to our team. With only a couple of roster spots to fill, we were being very selective on the type of player we are adding. Jimmy has good size, speed, and skill, and checks a lot of boxes for us on the player we were after”. – GM Mike Hawes
Prior to his time in Bismarck, Doyle also spent the 2019-20 season in the NAHL with the Minnesota Magicians, where he tallied six goals and nine assists in 28 games played. The 6’2, 185 pound forward has a commitment to play NCAA Division 1 Hockey at St Lawrence University. This is the same school former Spruce Kings captain Mason Waite is attending in the fall.
“We are looking forward to having Jimmy join our team this coming season. Jimmy is a quality human being that will bring some size and speed to our forward group”. – HC Alex Evin
The Spruce Kings would like to welcome Jimmy and his family to the organization and to the city of Prince George!
