Ben Brar notched his team-leading 24th of the season stretching the Spruce Kings advantage to 3-0 at the conclusion of the middle frame.
The Caps were outshot 38-22, Prince George went 2-for-8 on the power-play.
Logan Neaton collected the 22-save shutout.
Prince George is a point up on Chilliwack for top spot in the Mainland Division with the Chiefs having two games in hand.
Both teams will meet Sunday in Chilliwack.
